Half Day Monkeyland

Offers visitors safaris conducted by experience game rangers where you can expect to see many species of monkeys as well as a large variety of forest dwelling Birds of Eden. After soaking up the splendour of a living forest, you can relax on the sunny deck of our forest restaurant while enjoying a meal from our kitchen or drinks from our bar. Monkeyland is an all weather activity suitable for any age group. Monkeyland is situated 16km east of Plettenberg Bay along the N2 just before Nature’s Valley. Take the Kurland Village/Safari Park turn off, and follow our signs for 2km. German and French speaking guides are available on request.

Birds of Eden

Like Monkeyland, the popular primate sanctuary next-door, Birds of Eden boasts its own canopy walk, while shorter than the 128m bridge at Monkeyland, it hangs above the clouds. The decision to develop Birds of Eden stems from the need to create a safe environment in which to release a large collection of free-flight African birds, miniature monkeys and the sanctuary also enables bird owners to apply to release their pet birds into the sanctuary, after undergoing rehabilitation.

Knysna Waterfront Sailing Charters

Sailing through the Heads into the mighty Indian Ocean is a Unique Experience. Not many visitors to Knysna get to do this. Knysna Waterfront Sailing Charters, catamaran “Zakat” takes passengers through the heads and out to sea (weather permitting). But the ultimate experience is our popular sunset cruise with Champagne & Oysters – a wonderful romantic way to end the day. We also offer a 90 minute “Quickie” through the heads or a Lunch Braai (barbeque) or even a Overnight sleep-ins on board.

Half Day Ocean Blue Adventures

Ocean Blue Adventures invites you to discover the diverse marine life of Plettenberg Bay… Bottlenose, Humpback and common dolphins, Bryde’s, Southern Right and Humpback whales. Add this to a colony of Cape Fur Seals and a multitude of birds and sharks and you have the “best safari by far”. Ocean Blue Adventures works in association with the Centre for Dolphin Studies, a world recognised research institute and whale watching permit holder for Plett. Proceeds from all tours support research and environmental education, in line with our motto: “Observe & Conserve”.

Full Day Botlierskop Game Farm

Blessed with a great diversity of habitat and wildlife, visitors have an excellent chance of experiencing close encounters with rhinoceros, lion, buffalo, giraffe, rare impala, sable, kudu, nyala, bushbuck, bontebok, waterbuck, bluewildebeest, eland, mountain zebra etc. in a exhilarating 3 hour guided game drive, either early mornings or afternoons!

Half Day Featherbed Experience

Take a ferry ride across Knysna’s magnificent estuary to a secluded nature reserve, home to a variety of wildlife, Knysna loeries, the blue crane, and one of Africa’s smallest antelope, the blue duiker.
On arrival, a 4×4 trailer takes you to the summit of the Western Headland for a spectacular panoramas of the Knysna Basin and the sea. After admiring the view, take a gentle walk through a Milkwood forest, into caves and along the coastline back to the restaurant. Enjoy a fine meal in the Food Forest, an outside eating area set amongst the Milkwood trees. Our speciality is fish cooked over an open fire.

Full Day Knysna Day Tour

Here we will take you to the famous Knysna Heads, Walk in the Garden of Eden, visit Mitchell’s Brewery, shop at the Knysna Waterfront and more.

A full day will include a lunch at the Waterfront or the famous Knysna Oyster Tavern.

Full Day Tsitsikamma Day Tour

Visit the magnificent Tsitsikamma forest. The charming coastal village of Plettenberg Bay and then travel along the passes road to Nature’s Valley a haven of tranquility and beauty. The road then takes us up mountain passes and along river gores on to the massive Outeniqua Yellowwood tree (which is nearly a thousand years old), Storms River Bridge and the Tsitsikamma Coastal Nature Reserve.

On the way to the Tsitsikamma we also visit the Bungee Jump Bridge which is the highest in the world at 216m. Lunch will be taken at the Storms River Mouth.

Tsitsikamma Segway tours is located in Stormsriver Village at Tsitsikamma Backpackers. Your tour starts with a 20 minute training session; from there we depart out of the village into the pine plantation at the foot of the Stormsriver peak. One traverses through the forest down into a section of indigenous forest. We then carry on over the Witteklip River, up and into Stormsriver West, our local township. We take a short tour through the local township sharing knowledge and giving you an insight into the local’s lives. We then take a scenic path through the main village of the quaint village. After an hour we head back to the office. The tour is fully guided and a refreshment is served halfway. Helmets are provided. Please wear comfortable clothes, sunscreen and shoes.

The Tsitsikamma Treetop Canopy Tour is the first of its kind in Africa. Safety is paramount and the system has been built to the highest civil engineering standards. Imagine the Tsitsikamma Forest….30 meters above, as you gently glide on 10 slides to 10 platforms high up in Giant trees. The platforms provide an unbelievable view of this enchanting New World. Spend a few minutes relaxing while your Guides enthusiastically explain the ecology of the forest – pointing out different trees and magnificent giant ferns way below. You may even sight the Knysna Loerie and the elusive Narina Trogon. About 2½ hours later you exit the forest, having undertaken the journey of a lifetime. A delicious light lunch will be waiting for you at our Restaurant.

We will visit Monkeyland on the way home, which offers visitors safaris conducted by experienced game rangers where you can expect to see many species of primates as well as a large variety of forest dwelling birds.

Half Day / Full Day Tenikwa Tour

Tenikwa Wildlife Awareness Centre at Plettenberg Bay offers a truly unique Wildcat Experience. Guests are taken on a guided tour to meet captive-bred furry felines, living in a semi-natural environment.  So close, you can hear them purr…

Full Day Oudtshoorn Day Tour

After a spectacular drive over the Outeniqua Mountain Pass, we enter the red semi-desert of the Little Karoo. We start with the Cango Caves then visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch. From there we continue to one of the many Ostrich Farm to see one of the world’s most spectacular birds and finish off with a lunch on the Ostrich Farm
